A brief letter to the Editor correcting the birth dates of classical composers, published in The Australian on 24 Oct 1991, p.10

I must agree with your regular broadcast columnist, Errol Simper, that J. S. Bach was indeed 'no slouch' (The Weekend Australian, 19-20/10). But far from following those other great composers, he died (aged 65) in 1750 at which time Mozart and Beethoven were still some six and 20 years respectively from being born.
